before anything else

If, for whatever reason, you've come across this blog, then hello and welcome!

I've been meaning to start a fashion blog since FOREVER, but I realized I wouldn't want to fully dedicate my existence to fashion alone. So, instead, this may become a bricolage of my life in general, and other odds and ends within my interests. Although, do expect a few outfit posts every once in a while, because I'm moody like that.

For those who know me in real life, I still keep my LiveJournal, but I've locked it for the more personal and sensitive entries. You're going to have to add me there to read them. The rest of my life will be updated regularly on this one. (Warning: I tend to have the attention span of a five year old, so I’m uncertain if I can really keep this up. I'll try my best.)

For those who don't know me, here are few things you might want to know about me before you decide to read on:
  • I majored in European Studies and have been unemployed since graduation. It’s been approximately nine months since then. I could've given birth to a baby already. Job hunting has been a little difficult for me, especially since I'm extremely picky and adamant about getting a job that I'll truly enjoy. At this point, I have no idea what I really want, but I'm hoping that, someday in the future, I end up in something that I love and enjoy doing for the rest of my life.
  • I live in Manila. It's a polluted, noisy, and an extremely crowded city, but I continue to have a soft spot for it. I spend my free time (which, for the past couple of months, is ALL THE TIME) either spending countless hours in front of my laptop at home or loitering at some mall. After a while though, it gets redundant, because over here, there's a mall beside a mall beside a mall a few kilometers away from another mall. The party scene in Manila is ~bangin'~ as well, from what I hear, but I don't party, so I don't really know. I always wish I lived near the beach.
  • I can speak about six languages: Filipino, English, Cebuano, very poor French, and little bit of Italian and Spanish. I get a thrill in learning about different cultures. Naturally, my love for traveling follows. I’ve been going in and out of the country with my family ever since I can remember, and I hope to be able to explore the rest of the world someday.
  • My other interests include singing, fashion, and photography. Although, I'm not a photographer at all. I just like looking at pretty pictures. I do experiment with my own DSL-R sometimes; however, I'm more of an old-school film person. I pretty much appreciate all forms of art, both visual and performing. Other things that I like: vintage, chocolate decadent cake drowning in caramel, and playing board games.
That's about it for the moment. If I've still managed to catch your attention up until now, you're amazing and I love you.
