love it or leave it alone

taken by Cai

I've been so uninspired and extremely lazy to take out my camera lately, so I haven't been able to update this thing as often as I should. I'm turning out to be such a crap blogger, I know, but at least I'm back now and feeling physically better than last time! Thank you, everyone, for your concern. :)

Certain things have recently been added to my daily routine (which I'll talk about maybe at the end of the week), so I've been busier than usual. Though I'm going to make sure that I maximize this blog and try to spend more time here from now on, please bear with me as I'm still adjusting to this new schedule. I've sort of got plans, not only for this blog, but for myself in general, and I'm really excited! For life and all.

It's been a really good past couple of days for me. I spent it eating delicious food, with crazy friends, as well as meeting new ones, starting new adventures, and it's been a blast so far. I really want to say more, but I want to give time for everything to simmer a little bit before I go rambling on about it.

For now, I'll leave you with some random photos!

of sickness & sisig

water & cranberry juice therapy

Sorry for the lack of updates. My body has been failing on me again, which has led me to make multiple trips to the bathroom (trust me, that's all you want to know, haha), and had me ultimately bogged down in bed half the time. I've been feeling extra lethargic these past couple of days, and all I ever want to do is eat and sleep, so I barely had any work done. Such a useless week.

Not to mention that there was a citywide blackout the other day caused by strong winds and heavy rains that pretty much secured my inactive lifestyle. The storm didn't last long, thank God, but I guess this marks the start of typhoon season in this country. Praying for everyone's safety and that no repeat of last year's Ondoy will happen.

On the brighter side, the weekend is rolling in, albiet rather slowly, and I'm finally going to drag my butt out of the house. I'll be off to Wok Dis Way later tonight to meet up with a few friends and to help myself with a generous sizzling plate of sisig, which I believe will make this week all better. Sisig always does, I suppose.

Funny, I didn't like sisig until about three months ago. I seriously just woke up one morning and said hey, I'm craving for sisig, and I've been hooked since then!

What food did you used to hate but now can't get enough of?

(haha, looks like I'm scratching my armpits)

Spent the morning in U.P. with the boy, intending to help him out with his org stuff, but we ended up spending half the time driving around the campus and bumming in his car, which wasn't so bad, since I got to eat pancit canton and fried siomai!

Convi's been so busy with school, and I've been catching up with work, so we haven't seen and properly talked to each other all week. It's not really a big deal, but after spending every single day of summer together, not seeing him for even a short span of time is something I'm still getting used to. He's at my house tonight, though, and we're about to cuddle over the latest episode of Pretty Little Liars (yes, he actually enjoys it!), so I'm generally a happy bee!

Today was a good hair day, too. My curls cooperated, even if the rest of my body didn't. (I've been feeling a bit sick again. :/) Also, the big bow attached to my skirt is meant to be the front part, but I decided to place it at the back, because I'm ~edgy~ like that. Woot.

Amir Kaleb

This is my nephew, Amir Kaleb. He is six months old, growls like our shih tzu, and screams louder than our ears can handle. He is a very restless baby. He is also the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my entire life.

shopping weekend

tired face & uncooperative hair from four hours of sleep and the foreshadowing of a hangover

With the mid-year sale rolling in, and the first ever Forever 21 store landing in Manila, it was shopping weekend for a lot of people, and that included me. I initially wasn't planing on going to Forever 21 until at least a month from the opening, when I'm thinking everybody's excitement should already die down a bit; however, i couldn't help but cave in to my curiosity.

Frankly, I wasn't that impressed. I walked out of the store disappointed and with nothing in hand. I think the long lines to the dressing rooms and cash registers, the people hoarding so many stuff, and the general hype just really put me off. Good thing my boyfriend was able to snag a nice shirt and a pair of pants, despite the extremely tiny men's selection, so I guess the trip to Megamall wasn't a total waste.

Where I really burned some cash was at Topshop. I was able to take home with me four tops, and a pair of jeans. I realized too late that most of my choices went around the color pink, but I can't help it! It's my favorite color!

I also found a pair of white skinny jeans that I wanted so bad, and that looked decievingly like it was in my size, but actually turned out to be the smallest freaking jeans in the entire planet. I guess it wasn't a joke that the tag said "ultimate skinny". Argh. It was the last pair, too. :( Thank goodness I found flare jeans at 50% off to make up for it. Proper jeans have been long overdue on my wishlist, so I'm glad these turned up. Although, I would've wanted the bottom part to be a little wider, but it's fine, because the pants are extremely comfortable and fit me perfectly. (And at 25 waistline, says the tag! Which is a massive lie, but hey.)

Now, it's time to work on gaining back the money I lost this weekend.
