love yourself

thrifted jacket, leaf & co. (F*ART) dress, boots from Hong Kong, old earrings from Africa, bag from Italy

I should be doing stuff for school, but I'm in too much of a chipper mood to skip out on blogging. I don't want to eat my words again and jinx this, but my days have been pretty good recently. Apart from missing a class from being too tired and sore from yoga, things have been quite peachy. School work is slowly piling up, partly thanks to my procrastination skills (old habits die hard). Still, I'm learning and very optimistic about where I am at the moment.

And yeah, I've taken up yoga. It's been great so far! I'm still getting the hang of it, of course, especially since I'm used to sedentary life. But I'm trying to change lifestyles, and I think I'm off to a nice start. Hopefully, I can keep this overall outlook up!

I've come to realize that I've been too hard on myself these past few years, and the only way out of this hellhole is self-acceptance. I need to learn how to embrace myself fully, to accept, appreciate, and affirm who I am. So, let me end this with a reminder. To myself and to whoever needs it. "You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection." (Buddha) And once you do, everything else will follow.

  5. OH man, I love yoga. I used to do Bikram Yoga all the time. It felt awesome but then it got to be too expensive for my budget so I had to stop. But I loved it. What kind of yoga do you do? :)

  10. It's hard for me to comprehend how a girl like you can't love herself, but we all have those moments. I wish you lots of luck in your journey towards self-love. I know you can figure it out. Love the hair and the bag btw! :)

  11. I'm actually taking yoga classes now... and what I love about it the most is the calmness that goes with it. I'm not rushed--and I get thinner too! Haha! :>
