The heat has been unbearable in our side of the world!!! Showing a bit of skin is more of survival than anything else, really. Still, even 35 degrees Celcius won't bring me down and make me hate summer. I'm especially looking forward to my annual beach trip with friends this coming May! Ah, to be back in the sea again.

Things have been quite nice lately. Not perfect, but good.

My boyfriend just graduated from college (BS Architecture from the University of the Philippines! Proud girlfriend right here!), and we've been spending loads of time together, since he's a free bird at the moment. We're also trying to be healthier, so we've been doing routine jogging every other night! Our minimum goal is to at least gain back our 2010 body. Yay for couple fitness!

I'm having a blast at school. It's fast-paced, but I'm learning so much! I've never been this motivated and inspired to work so hard, and the people I've met along the way have been a big force behind that push. The people are the best part of all this. Oh, and I got a summer job, too! The plan is to use my pay check for an Xbox + Kinect!

I almost want to say I'm pretty content right now, but I still dream and wish of so many things every single day. Only natural for humans to want, but I am slowly getting to that happy and peaceful place. And when I do get there, you'll be one of the first to know. For now, I'll enjoy this exciting ride. :)

Spoonful of Sugar (+ a giveaway!)

What cheers you up on a bad day? For me, a cupcake or two really does the trick. Not only do cupcakes give me an instant sugar rush, but the cute and colorful decorations never fail to put a smile on my face, too. Unless you're not a dessert person (and if so, I'm really sad for you), I'm pretty sure you feel the same way as I do.

I'm the worst food critic, and I don't know how else to properly describe their cupcakes except YUMMY!, but I promise that I'm saying this in the most unbiased way I possibly can.

My top three personal favorites among the eight flavors that I tried: Red Velveteen, Molten Choco Lava, and Milky Vanilla. The cupcakes are made with just the perfect texture -- soft and moist. They're not too sweet and overpowering, and each flavor perfectly complements the taste of the creamy frosting. Going through each and every one made me wish that it would never end!

my summer staycation w/ Moonleaf Tea Shop

Last week, I had the amazing privilege of working with a bunch of talented people on Moonleaf Tea Shop's summer campaign.

Everybody knows I'm not the biggest fan of tea in general. However, I'm honestly inspired by Moonleaf's success story. They started out in 2010 as a tiny tea shop in UP Village, and now, they've got 22 branches and still expanding all over the country! Best of all, their wide variety of flavors and yummy selections are easy on the wallet and meet a very student-friendly budget, which is why they're such a hit! So, when Jonver asked me to be one of the models for this campaign, how could I possibly say no?

Moonleaf Tea Shop invites you to join in on their fun summer campaign called "My Summer Staycation". If you're stuck in town this summer, like me, why not fight the heat and spend it with Moonleaf?
